In December 1944, as the enemies of the Third Reich closed in from east, west and south, everyone knew that the outcome of the war was essentially decided. Everyone, that is, except for Hitler, who was marshalling his forces for one last great offensive gamble. This attack would be aimed at the thinly held U.S. lines in the Ardennes and take place in the dead of winter, thus negating Allied airpower. In this DLC, you command German forces during the 1944 winter offensives and the final, desperate battles against the Red Army in the spring of 1945.Alternatively, diverge from the historical path to explore a highly speculative - nay, a History-Channel-worthy - alt-history campaign that lets you completely rewrite the winter of 1944-45. 14 Challenging Scenarios: a 7-scenario historical campaign following the spluttering German charge through the Ardennes and the desperate final stands in the East, plus a 7-scenario speculative alt-history branch that's, frankly, mad even by our standards. Two Highly Detailed New Maps: A wide-angle view of the Ardennes Offensive and an extra zoomed-in look at the route of the notorious "Kampfgruppe Peiper." New Units that include a winter-camo Panther, Axis Swiss, Portuguese, Spanish and more... New Specialists, including some of the more exotic late war German units and equipment. These "red" specs break with tradition as they can be obtained only once, and will many times represent specific units like "Panzer Brigade 150", "Sturmmöser Kompanie 1000", etc.
